How your information is handled

Last updated 28 October 2026. Manley Advisory is a sole proprietorship operated by James Manley Power in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This page says, in plain terms, what information I hold and what I do with it.

What I collect

If you use the contact form or write to me, I receive what you send: your name, email address, company, role, and your message. During an assessment I take notes from conversations and review the systems you give me access to. I do not collect information about you from other sources.

Why I collect it

To reply to you, to do the work you have asked for, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. I do not use your information for marketing and I do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Where it is kept

Email and notes are kept in Google Workspace. Invoices are issued by Manley Advisory as PDF and kept in the Company's own records. These services may store data outside Canada. Assessment materials are kept only for as long as the engagement and any follow-on work need them, then deleted, unless you ask me to keep them.

AI tools

I may use AI tools to help draft documents and analyse material during an engagement. I do not put your confidential material into a tool that trains on it, and I tell you which tools I use before the assessment begins. A message you send through the contact form comes to my mailbox and is also kept on the Company's server, where an AI tool drafts my reply. I read and approve every reply before it is sent; nothing is answered automatically.

Your choices

You can ask to see what I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Write to hello@manleyadvisory.com and I will reply within ten working days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
